  1.             E-Minder Readme

  3. In a nutshell:
  4.     E-minder is a program to periodically check for new and
  5. unread e-mail messages in your MS Mail mailbox and notify you if
  6. any are found.
  7.  
  8. Features:
  9.     You can set the program to check for mail at any interval
  10. between 1 minute and 99 minutes,  start MS Mail with the click of
  11. a button,  and disable the popup reminder window.  The popup
  12. reminder window will show you how many unread e-mail messages you
  13. have, who they are from, and the subject.  You can also start MS
  14. Mail from the popup by clicking on the MS Mail button or double
  15. clicking on the message list.  There is also the ability to
  16. disable further popup reminders from the popup window.

  18. Requirements:
  19.     E-minder expects to find MS Mail in your path, in the
  20. windows directory, or in the directory that E-minder resides.  It
  21. has been tested on the MS Mail postoffice that comes with WFW and
  22. with MS Mail v3.2.  It should work with Windows NT though this
  23. version is not 32bit and has not been directly tested on it.  This
  24. version will NOT work with Microsoft Exchange/Win 95.  Specific
  25. versions will be available for both NT and Win 95 in the near
  26. future.

  28. Setup:
  29.     Run the setup program from the Program Manager.  Make sure
  30. that you have closed MS Mail and any Visual Basic programs that
  31. are running.  After installing, I recommend that you put the
  32. E-minder program in your Startup group so that it is running each
  33. time you start windows.  It is now ready to go to work for you.
  34.  
  35. Future:
  36.     Add sound chimes, versions for NT and Win 95, and other
  37. mail programs/transports besides MS Mail.

  39. Registering:
  40.     E-minder is offered under the shareware concept.  It has
  41. not been crippled in anyway, there are no nagging reminders, and
  42. no features are disabled.  If you continue to use it past the 30
  43. day trial period, it is your responsibility to register this
  44. program (see register.wri).

  46. When you register you will get product support, minor upgrades,
  47. and the next major upgrade for free.  You will also get the peace
  48. of mind that comes from doing the right thing and knowing that
  49. you helped a programmer survive in this dog-eat-dog world.  Oh,
  50. and a great big THANK-YOU as well.
